I'm Kelsey, it's nice to meet you! I'm a mama to a 9 year old boy, salon owner and hair stylist, and what some would consider a multi-passionate person. I have been described by many as someone whose presence makes you feel comfortable and at ease. It is a strong belief of mine that we all deserve compassionate care that is free of judgement, and I carry that with me into my doula services.
My Story
When I was pregnant with my son, I knew I wanted to include the care of a doula because of all the benefits I had read about them. What I DIDN'T know was how much that experience would light a fire in me. After I gave birth, I realized what a lonely experience new motherhood can be. I remember wishing I had someone to process my experience with, commiserate with, and lean on. At the time, becoming a doula wasn't something I had the time or resources for, and years passed. Finally, I took the leap. I completed my doula certification from Birth Arts International in 2021, and I fell deeply in love with postpartum care. At my core, I believe that all mothers go through the same motions, and with loving care we can be empowered to be the mothers we aim to be.
